JFrog Curation for Developers
Course 5 of 5 in JFrog Security for Developers
This course we will introduce JFrog Curation and its value to the software developer, learn how to seamlessly integrate it into our development workflow and boosting productivity with quick resolutions to security vulnerabilities
Course Level: Beginner
Requirements: A foundational understanding of software development workflows and open-source package management.
Prerequisites: None. Familiarity with JFrog Curation or the JFrog CLI is helpful but not required.
Course Description: Open-source packages are the building blocks of modern development — but a blocked download with no clear path forward kills momentum and creates pressure to bypass security controls entirely. This course introduces JFrog Curation from the developer's perspective: how to work with it, not around it, and how to resolve security issues quickly without leaving your workflow.
Topics Covered:
- Why Use JFrog Curation: What Curation does, why it matters to the individual developer, and how it protects your builds without adding friction to your day-to-day workflow.
- Developing with JFrog Curation: How to handle blocked open-source package downloads using the Curation Audit command, use the JFrog Package Catalog to find safe alternatives, and troubleshoot failures when the Curation Audit doesn't execute as expected.
